My name is Alex F. Peter and I’m the founder of RAYA Construction Group LLC. I was born in Heidelberg (Germany) and relocated to Charlotte for work (I’m also a CPA) about 10 years ago. Real Estate has always been my passion. It began when my father built our family home and I always observed and tried to help where I could. After college, I went into taxation (Dad: “People always pay taxes”. Alex: “But they also always need houses”). My first job focused on real estate taxation. Because I also wanted to pursue my passion, I bought houses, renovated and improved them and sold them in my spare time. After moving to Charlotte, I continued doing that. But there is only so much you can do next to your main corporate job. The 2020 pandemic finally gave me the opportunity to study and take the NASCLA exam, the only recognized pathway in the industry to get a General Contractor’s license in around 15 states. We’re now licensed in North and South Carolina and I can finally spend more time in my passion: To build houses and help others to realize their dream homes while still advise on taxation, in particular concerning real estate.

My personal motto is building with exceptional service and quality with a European twist. Whatever the customer needs is a top priority. As a trained CPA, I know how to stay on budget and stick to deadlines.  My number one goal is not only to meet my customer’s expectations but to exceed them. Communication

We really can’t overstate how highly we rate good communication. It’s just so important for a smooth-running build. Although having a comprehensive set of drawings is essential, design or construction complications do pop up and the easiest way to deal with these is with open and consistent communication. We’ll keep you in the loop and we welcome your questions from start to finish.

A Project Program

Before we get started on the build we’ll put together a thorough project program which clearly shows the project’s key milestones and all the steps in-between. The program allows everyone to see what stage the build is at, what happens next and most importantly what decisions are required and when you’ll need to make them.

A Project Forman (Manager)

With the support of a project manager who takes care of administration and scheduling, all of our large projects have a dedicated foreman who is responsible for the build from the very beginning right through to handover.

Regular Meetings

We like to have regular onsite meetings throughout the construction phase. It’s an opportunity for the clients to see the progress of the build, ask questions and to enjoy the experience of watching their home come to life. We suggest meetings every two weeks.

We only use highly skilled, qualified and professional tradespeople. Our key contractors are regular long-term associates who understand and uphold the highest standards and values in their respective industries.

We will treat your home like our own – we’ll keep it clean, tidy and safe. But someone might say: Remodeling produces a lot of dirt! That’s often true. Which doesn’t mean the worksite will remain that way, aka dirty. We’ll clean as often as possible and the entire project area will be handed over thoroughly cleaned for your full enjoyment .
